This is a website to provide information about the great fly fishing available on Scalby Beck. The beck is a well known beauty spot in the heart of Scarborough and a favourite venue for visiting anglers. The Beck is stocked with brown trout, but there is a good amount of wild trout as well as some grayling.
The fishing can be quite challenging in some places but very rewarding
Day and evening tickets are available and very reasonably priced

Fly fishing for Wild Brown trout and Grayling on Scalby Beck in Scarborough
Please note that we do not issue day tickets for coarse fishing and do not allow any other method of fishing, other than fly fishing, on a day/evening ticket.
The fishing seasons are as follows: Brown trout 25th March to 30th September for members and 1st of April to 30th September for non members.Scalby Beck Angling Club was formed in 1890 and we hold ledgers to this date and there has never been any record of a Salmon being caught on the Beck.
